Airspace/Procedure design
The proper planning and design of routes, holding patterns, approach and departure routes, instrument approaches, airspace structure and ATC sectorisation in both terminal and en-route airspace are effective in reducing the likelihood of level bust incidents and optimising efficiency, capacity and accessibility while enhancing environmental sustainability and maintaining high safety standards.
The converse is also true: poorly designed airspace can create situations where a level bust incident is more likely to occur within an air traffic management (ATM) system.
IBG is providing airspace and procedure design in compliance with the principles laid down in ICAO Doc 8168 (PANS-OPS) and Doc 4444 (PANS-ATM) for new airspace structures, as well as modifying existing infrastructures.
IBG experts have the proven capabilities to support ANSP with any Airspace & Procedural design.
